Xbox Controller Support for Diablo 3 on PC: A Call to Action

For years, gamers have been making excuses for Blizzard's lack of native controller support in the PC version of Diablo 3. The common refrain is that it's a separate game from the console versions, but this excuse is false and misleading. It's time to stop enabling Blizzard's laziness and greed by perpetuating this myth.

As someone who has experienced firsthand the benefits of gaming on PC with adaptive tools, I can attest to the superiority of native controller support. My setup includes a powerful CPU (9900K) and GPU (2080ti), allowing me to enjoy games as intended by the developers. Unfortunately, Diablo 3's PC version falls short in this regard.

I've tried using emulators like Xpadder, but they can't compare to the seamless experience offered by native controller support, which is available on the Xbox One version of Diablo III. This means that millions of players with physical challenges are unable to play the game on PC, except for on an older console. It's a sheer injustice that Blizzard has chosen not to invest in making this feature available.

As someone who uses a controller due to their quadriplegia, I know firsthand how frustrating it is to be excluded from playing games because of lack of accessibility options. The Xbox One version of Diablo III works perfectly for me, and there's no reason why the PC version can't follow suit.

It's time for Blizzard to stop making excuses and start taking action. Implementing controller support in the PC version of Diablo 3 would require minimal effort and cost, but it would make a huge difference to countless players who are currently unable to enjoy this game on their platform of choice.
